HELPING YOUTH AND THE NEEDY PEOPLE CAUGHT IN CROSS FIRE,TAKING DRUGS,CONFLICTS,IN THE EASTERN REGION UGANDA. Violence across the region is escalating and children and families are caught up in the conflict, with tens of thousands killed, injured, suffering from acute malnutrition, and more than 1.7 million people displaced. Innocent children and families urgently need support. Families have lost everything due to violence. Children cannot access health care or go to school. There is no place safe for them. You can help those whose lives have been torn apart. We are providing emergency relief; in-kind food assistance for displaced families; helping vulnerable communities protect children and young people and respond to violence and emergencies; supporting parents and caregivers whose children are suffering emotional distress and mental harm; equipping health centres with medical supplies and tools to better respond to medical emergencies and the needs of pregnant women and newborn babies; providing safe places where communities can gather for support; and scaling up our response to include livelihoods interventions and education projects.
